Switching

Moving from Housecall Pro, Jobber or Workiz.

Most shops switch for three reasons: the monthly bill keeps rising, the contract is hard to leave, and parts and second visits still live on paper.

Four steps

How a move works.

  1. 01

    Export from your old software

Download your customers as a CSV file before your plan ends.

    Customers → Export CSV
  2. 02

    Install and import

Upload the plugin, answer the setup steps, then import the CSV file.

    Customers → Import customers
  3. 03

    Run both for a week

Take new bookings in PartsDue while you finish open jobs in the old tool.

    New jobs → PartsDue
  4. 04

    Cancel the old plan

Once the open jobs are done, cancel. Check your contract’s notice period first.

    Billing → Cancel plan

Questions

Before you switch.

01Can I import my customers?

Yes. Export your customers from your old program as a CSV file and import them under Customers, Import customers. Nobody is added twice. See Import your customers.

02Will my customers notice?

They book on your website instead of a third-party page, and they get a status page for their repair. Most find it easier.

03What about jobs already open?

Finish them in your old tool. Run both for about a week, then cancel.

04Do I need a new website?

You need a WordPress website. If yours is on another builder, a basic WordPress site works fine. See what you need.
